Every artwork in our collection is presented with clear information about the artist, medium, dimensions, availability and artwork status. Where applicable, a Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the work as part of its documentation.

WHAT AUTHENTICITY MEANS

Authenticity is not only a certificate. It begins with knowing who created the work, what the work is, how it was made, and how that information is preserved from presentation through purchase.

Our aim is to make the essential information surrounding each artwork visible and understandable before a collector makes a decision.

ARTWORK DOCUMENTATION

Clear Information, Attached to the Work

Each artwork page records the essential details needed to identify and understand the work. These details remain part of the artwork record and are reflected in the documentation supplied with the work where applicable.

Certificate of Authenticity

Where a Certificate of Authenticity is provided, it records key identifying information about the artwork and supports the connection between the work, its artist and the artwork documentation.

The certificate may include information such as the artist’s name, artwork title, year, medium, dimensions, edition status and signature, depending on the work and artist.

The Certificate of Authenticity is documentation associated with the artwork; it should not be understood as independent institutional authentication unless explicitly stated.

The Artist Is Part of the Artwork Record

An artwork is presented in connection with a named artist profile rather than as an isolated object. Artist information, selected works and practice provide context for understanding the work within a broader body of activity.

On each artwork page, the artist connection remains visible alongside the artwork title, year, medium, dimensions and availability.

Understanding Artwork Status

Unique Work

A one-of-one original artwork. Once sold, the work remains visible in the collection as sold but is no longer available for purchase.

Open Edition

A work produced without a fixed edition limit. Open editions should be identified explicitly and should not be presented as unique works.

Limited Edition

A work produced in a defined number of authorised examples. Where applicable, the edition number and total edition size should be stated clearly.
